Weddings at First Glendale...First Glendale is a wonderful place to be married and we are honored that you are considering having your wedding take place in our Sanctuary. We will do everything in our power to make your wedding an experience you will treasure fora lifetime. The following steps are necessary to schedule a wedding at First Glendale: Read the following letter carefully Print and complete the reservation form Clear the rehearsal and wedding dates with the Church Office Return your completed form with deposit to the Church Office When the Reservation Form and Deposit have been received and the dates confirmed, you will sent or given a Wedding Policy Guide. The first meeting with the pastor needs to be scheduled at this time. Greetings, The staff and clergy of First United Methodist Church, Glendale, are guided by the sense that God's faithful love is the foundation upon which Christian marriage is built. We want to do more than help you plan a wedding, we want to help you lay a foundation for a marriage that will thrive and grow for as long as you live. You will meet with the pastor who will perform your wedding at least once prior to the wedding to plan the worship service. We believe it is extremely important for couples as they prepare for their wedding day, to equally prepare for continued happiness in their marriage through premarital counseling. It is customary to schedule additional sessions with the pastor to discuss the marriage relationship and prepare for a life-long satisfying marriage. It is your responsibility to schedule your first premarital counseling session with the pastor. We suggest the first visit be no less than 2-3 months prior to your wedding date. God bless you as you prepare for this very special occasion and a long happy marriage. We look forward to getting to know you both.
